Dubai to introduce world’s first pilotless passenger aerial vehicle aircraft

Inqwelomoya yokuqala yehlabathi engaqhutywanga moya (AAV) ekwaziyo ukuthwala abakhweli kulindeleke ukuba ibhabha inqumle iDubai kwangethuba ngoJulayi, ibhodi yezothutho yesixeko ibhengeze.

Iphuhliswe ngokubambisana nomenzi wedrone waseTshayina, i-EHANG, inqwelomoya, ebizwa ngokuba yi-EHANG184, inokuthwala umkhweli ukuya kuthi ga kwimizuzu engama-30 emoyeni.

I-EHANG184 ifakelwe isikrini sokuchukumisa phambi kwesitulo somkhweli esibonisa imephu yendawo ekuyiwa kuyo.

Ecaleni kweendlela ezicwangcisiweyo, umkhweli ukhetha indawo afuna ukuya kuyo.

"I-RTA yenza zonke iinzame zokuqalisa ukusebenza kwe- [AAV] ngoJulayi 2017," wongezelela.

I-EHANG184 yenzelwe kwaye yenziwe kunye "nawona manqanaba aphezulu okhuseleko," yongeza inkosi ye-RTA.

Ukuba nayiphi na i-propeller iyasilela, isixhenxe esiseleyo sinokunceda ukugqibezela ukubhabha kwaye sihlale kakuhle.

I-AAV ifakelwe iinkqubo ezininzi ezisisiseko zonke zisebenza ngexesha elinye, ngelixa zonke zisebenza ngokuzimeleyo.

“Kwimeko apho kukho ukungasebenzi kakuhle kwenye yezi nkqubo, inkqubo yokulinda iya kuba nako ukulawula nokuhambisa ngokukhuselekileyo [inqwelo-moya] kwindawo yokumisa ecwangcisiweyo,” utshilo u-Al Tayer.

Inqwelo-moya yenzelwe ukubhabha ubuninzi bemizuzu engama-30 ngesantya esiphezulu sokuhamba ngeekhilomitha ezingama-160 ngeyure, kunye nesantya esiqhelekileyo seekhilomitha ezili-100 ngeyure.

Inokusuka ngesantya seemitha ezi-6 ngesekondi ize ihlale kwiimitha ezi-4 ngesekhondi.

I-AAV ilinganisa i-3.9 yeemitha ubude, i-4.02 yeemitha ububanzi kunye ne-1.60 yeemitha ukuphakama. Inobunzima obumalunga ne-250kg kunye ne-360kg kunye nomkhweli.

Ubude obuninzi bokuhamba ngeenyawo ziinyawo ze-3,000 kwaye ixesha lokutshaja ibhetri li-1 kwiiyure ze-2, kwaye linokusebenza phantsi kwazo zonke iimeko zemozulu ngaphandle kweendudumo.

Ifakwe i-sensor ezichanekileyo, inqwelo-moya inomda wempazamo ephantsi kakhulu kwaye inokumelana nokungcangcazela kunye nobushushu obugqithisileyo.

"I-Dubai Civil Aviation Authority yayiliqabane kwiimvavanyo zethu ezichaza iindlela zokhuseleko ezifunekayo, ukukhupha iimvume zokuvavanywa kunye nokuhlola isithuthi," kusho u-Al Tayer.

I-UAE telecoms giant Etisalat inikeza inethiwekhi yedatha ye-4G esetyenziswa kunxibelelwano phakathi kwe-AAV kunye neziko lolawulo lomhlaba.
